Picture Perfect

There are so many things I love about being in the travel industry. One of my favorite things is the fabulous people I have met. Another is the opportunity to explore new places. What’s better than seeing the world? I am definitely a VideoGlobetrotter – I experience the joy of travel daily through watching travel videos. It is such a treat to escape from the day while I visit, explore and learn about the world through pictures. I recently read a study that 82% of travelers take photos while on vacation. Photos capture those magical moments and help preserve them in our memories. They tell the story. They allow us to relive and recapture the journey. Some of my favorite pictures are from my travels because they remind me of fun, happy times. Travel is so visual – the scenery, the history, the famous landmarks all lend themselves to sensational shots. I find myself taking pictures of everything- fountains, food, street signs– because when I travel everything is so new and exciting that I want to capture it in a photo. I also enjoy seeing other people’s vacation photos. I learn so much. Sometimes just seeing pictures of someone else’s trip is enough to whet my appetite to visit there myself. A picture really is worth a thousand words. It says so much. I used to look for an excuse to show my photos to any one and every one willing to see. Photos are meant to be shared and enjoyed..and our “You Share” section is just the place! Travel videos and photos allow us to see the world every day.
